Piramedes

On Sunday we loaded the entire family into a van and made our way to the pyramids at Tehotihuacan. It was good family time. We walked and climbed a lot. There are two main pyramids. They are dedicated to the sun and the moon. We climbed both of the large pyramids as well as one smaller one. A family member was explaining to me that archeologists have discovered several pyramids within larger pyramids.

The natives used these pyramids as places of worship to different gods. When the weather or other conditions changed, the natives would build new pyramids dedicated to a new god. This made me think about the human condition, and how we are always searching for something to fill the void we feel.As Christians, we know that we can depend on God for all our needs. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, God is always there for us. This has been a comfort to me on my journey. Enjoy the pictures.
